Potts at the double for Old Boys victory
LEEK CSOB are up to eighth in the Staffordshire County Senior League Premier Division after two wins in the space of four days.
On Saturday, Leek romped to a 4-0 win over fifth-placed City of Stoke.
CSOB took a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Sam Potts, who then doubled his and his side’s advantage 10 minutes into the second period.
George Mealey quickly made it 3-0 before Sam Wainwright rounded off the scoring.
Last Wednesday night, the
Old Boys ran out 3-1 winners at Pointon Park against Abbey Hulton United.
Dominic Grindey grabbed two goals, either side of Jay Blurton’s strike.
Ball Haye Green reserves are through to the third round of the President’s Cup after seeing off Eastwood Hanley reserves 3-1 at Waterhouses.
Jake Gordon opened the scoring in the first half, and Jake Johnson doubled it after the break, with Jensen Ball coming off the bench to grab the third.
In Division Two, Cheadle
Town were 6-2 winners over Three Spires United thanks to a Matthew Cockfield hat-trick.
Ryan Beresford, Curtis Leavy and Michael Davies got the other Cheadle goals, while Panashe Makokowe and Leyton Owen replied for Three Spires.
