WHETHER it be 2000s nostalgia or ‘that’ bathroom scene, no one can stop talking about the film Saltburn. If you’re a fan and looking to have a taste of what life would be like on the sprawling fictional estate, then you’ll find it right here in North Staffordshire.

You can book a stay at the Saltburn-style Roaches Hall which is nestled in the Peak District between Leek and Buxton, right under the famous rocks of its namesake. Built in 1876, it was once the hunting residence of Sir Philip Brocklehurst and the house is now rented out as a holiday home, sleeping up to 30 guests.

Visitors can sample the lifestyle of landed gentry by lounging in the spacious drawing room, sitting down to a meal in the luxurious dining room or relaxing in the games room. Guests at Roaches Hall can spread out across 13 bedrooms, which include five doubles and six twins.

There are 11 bath and shower rooms across the house, while the master bedroom has a freestanding bath with incredible views out across the Peak District, the ultimate indulgent experience. Just like the sprawling rooms in Saltburn, there’s no shortage of space in the Roaches Hall.

The drawing room features comfy leather sofas and a huge 50 inch tv, a cosy fireplace and wide windows which offer unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.

A second living room contains a small library, children’s toys and a seven-foot pool table. The house also has a fully-equipped kitchen, while the beautiful dining room seats up to 34 people.

The hall has its own garden with breath-taking views, but it would be rude not to explore the incredible landscape it has right on its doorstep.

The Roaches

- made up of two gritstone outcrops - are only a stone’s throw away, while the equally impressive Lud’s

Church and Thor’s

Cave are also nearby.

Saltburn was first released in cinemas in November and then launched on streaming services over Christmas. It sparked a social media frenzy with its satirical depiction of upper class life and themes of extreme obsession and desire.

Directed by Emerald Fennell, Saltburn stars an array of big names, including Barry Keoghan, Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant. But the biggest star of the show is the house itself, the sprawling fictional estate of Saltburn, home to the Catton family.

The film’s dark plot unfolds within the walls of the magnificent mansion, where its residents play tennis in suits and lavish parties are held late into the night. Real life Drayton House in Lowick, Northamptonshire, served as the filming location, but the private family home is closed to the public. Prices for a one night stay at Roaches Hall in February start from £1,280, with a maximum stay of four nights starting from £3,080. Stag and hen do bookings are accepted, although groups of friends under 30 are not permitted unless they are a mixed age group including children. You can book Roaches Hall on the Party Houses website. The hall is pet-friendly, and with pets costing £30 each. Day guests are permitted, at £15 per person. Roaches Hall is in Upper Hulme, Leek, ST13 8UB.
