WE are lucky to have many fantastic pubs, inns and restaurants here in the Moorlands and this week, for my week 39’s Reason to Visit the Moorlands, I would like to feature the amazing Three Horseshoes Country Inn & Spa.
I have been to the Three Horseshoes many times and am always swept away by the beautiful gardens and the stunning views over the Roaches and surrounding countryside.
The Three Horseshoes has been run successfully by the Kirk family since 1981, and they have created a really warm and relaxing atmosphere.
The pub welcomes everyone from families to four-legged friends with a good range of cask ales, wines, gins, cocktails and more. You can even test your skills with a game of darts, dominos or skittles. The chefs create award winning quality food using local produce, and I know the carvery roasts, available throughout the week, are especially popular.
The Three Horseshoes also boasts more than 20 beautiful, boutique-style rooms which offer perfect relaxation. They range from Pub Rooms to the especially luxurious Four Poster Garden Rooms, which come with a private garden, outdoor hot tub and some stunning views of the Moorlands.
My personal favourite is The Mill Wheel Spa with its sauna, stonebath, plunge pool, outdoor vitality pool and garden. There is also a relaxation room and many treatments on offer. One very special feature is the Beach Hut where you can relax on warm sand with calming music and essential oils while you are taken from darkness to sunrise to peak sunshine and then sunset.
