Four sets of De Montfort panto tickets to be won

CORRIE favourite Kevin Kennedy will be treading the boards for a very special pantomime in Leicester this festive season - oh yes he will! De Montford Hall has announced its full star line-up for Peter Pan, which flies into the venue from Saturday, December 15, and which also features CBeebies’ Cat Sandion as Tiger Lily and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Kev Orkian as Smee

They join the previously announced singing superstar Sam Bailey, who returns for her third season, and BBC Radio Leicester’s Martin Ballard as Dame.

Kevin Kennedy is a familiar face all over the country for his portrayal of the loveable but hapless Curly Watts in Coronation Street, a role he played for 20 years. Recently he has been touring in the new Kay Mellor musical Fat Friends alongside Sam Bailey.

Cat Sandion is a familiar face to youngsters everywhere, having been a presenter on CBeebies since 2012 and has appeared in many of their Christmas shows such as The Snow Queen, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland among others. She has also appeared in the popular Justin’s House with Justin Fletcher.

As well as being a top-class comedian, Kev Orkian is a hugely talented pianist, singer and actor who reached the semi-finals of series four of Britain’s Got Talent as well as starring in numerous West End shows and appearing as comic in some of the country’s biggest pantomimes.

Antony Flint, De Montfort Hall general manager, said: “We are delighted with the casting for Peter Pan this year, they bring a wealth of experience and are all very talented entertainers. Tickets are already selling faster than last year’s record-breaking panto, Beauty and the Beast.

“This year, audiences can expect all the best bits they’ve come to love from our traditional De Montfort Hall panto.”

Peter Pan tells the story of the boy who never grew up and takes you on a swashbuckling adventure to Neverland to meet all of Peter’s friends including Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys and Tiger Lily.

Peter Pan runs from Saturday, December 15, 2018 to Sunday, January 6, 2019. Adult tickets from £14.50, with children and group rates available. For more information or to book tickets call 0116 233 3111 or go to demontforthall.co.uk
