INTERIOR DESIGN MASTERS BBC2, 8pm

“WHO doesn’t love interior design?” asks host Fearne Cotton, pictured. Ok, perhaps don’t answer that.

But if you want to see fashionable people arguing over the texture of a headboard, then this is the TV show for you.

Designers are competing for a major contract at a top hotel, judged by guru Michelle Ogundehin, who says: “It’s more than just painting a few walls, I’m looking for magic.”

It’s week five now, so the competition is hotting up with the biggest challenge so far.

The five remaining contestants must design an entire holiday lodge, including a bedroom each, an open plan kitchen diner and outdoor space.

The lodges must suit the target market of either older guests looking for a country retreat or women over 30 on a girls’ holiday.

Expect to hear words like harmony, vibe, colour palettes and soft edges, before it’s curtains for one unlucky designer.

TASKMASTER Dave, 9pm

AS bonkers and inventive as ever, this ninth series got off to a cracking start last week.

David Baddiel, Jo Brand, Katy Wix, Ed Gamble and Rose Matafeo are the brave warriors trying to prove themselves to Lord Taskmaster Greg Davies.

Only one will win the ultimate accolade, the ownership of a gold bust of Greg’s head – no, the stakes aren’t high, but they are shiny.

First they must correctly identify which of five red wheelie bins Alex Horne is hiding in, while adhering to several commandments such as: “You can gently shake one bin” and “You can whack one bin with a frying pan”. It turns out to be the only task Alex has genuinely ever hated.

Later on, the contestants must draw a portrait of the Taskmaster on 16 A1 pages, but there’s a mind-boggling catch.

“Seems a bit ridiculous,” says David. If he thinks that now, he might find the rest of the series tougher than he thought…
