Bus service has let us down for second time

I WROTE to the Mercury a few weeks ago regarding a very late Arriva bus when we needed to get to De Montfort hall to see a show (“Poor bus service made for a stressful evening”,

Mailbox, October 2). Guess what – it’s happened again.

My husband had an appointment at Leicester Royal Infirmary for 11.15am, so we thought we would catch the 10.26am from Wigston. Plenty of time, or so we thought.

The bus never arrived. And when the next bus eventually arrived and I asked the driver what happened to the bus before, he said “it’s probably late”. Really?

It’s so infuriating. We made it to the hospital appointment with a minute to spare.

It really is a poor service.
