City Italian restaurant has closed for revamp

THE popular Italian chain restaurant Zizzi is currently closed for a “spruce up”.

The Highcross restaurant shut at the end of the day on Monday, November 11, and is set to reopen with a fresh new look at 11.30am on Tuesday.

The other Leicester branch, in Belvoir Street, is open.

Highcross is home to wide range of restaurants, including the newly-opened

Indian restaurant Tandem, which has been launched by TV chef Cyrus Todiwala.

Elsewhere in the city, new food and drink venues that have recently opened include cafe Elevenses in King Street, smash burger joint Phat Buns in Western Boulevard, and Indian street food restaurant Mowgli in St Martin’s Square.
