CHANGE OF FLORIDA AIRPORT FOR TUI
HOLIDAYMAKERS jetting to Orlando with TUI Airways will be landing at a new, more distant airport from 2022.
The travel giant is switching from the current Sanford – just over 30 miles from the main theme parks – to Melbourne, around 70 miles away on the Atlantic coast.
TUI says it will work with the new terminal to ‘’create an outstanding arrival and departure customer experience’’ with ‘’innovative passenger amenities and many other family-friendly features that will allow customers to be entertained’’.
Despite the distance from the roller-coasters, Melbourne is less than 30 miles from Port Canaveral. TUI’s Marella Cruises has announced a short season of sailings from there in 2021. Visit tui.co.uk
