MAN DIES TRAPPED UNDER A CAR
DECEASED IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THE VEHICLE
A MAN has died after becoming trapped under a car he was working on.
Police, the fire service and the ambulance service were called to Brittany Avenue, on the Marlborough Way estate, in Ashby, at 3.30pm yesterday.
The man, who was working on the car on the driveway of a property, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Cordons remained in place at the scene yesterday evening.
A green tent was erected in front of one of the houses and officers were seen going in and out of it.
Residents made cups of tea for the officers to help keep them warm.
A police spokesman said a file on the death was being prepared for the coroner.
