HEAD TO THE BALTICS FOR A BARGAIN CHRISTMAS MARKET BREAK FOR TWO
RIGA is the cheapest European city to visit for a Christmas Market break, according to the annual Post Office Travel Money Christmas Markets Barometer.
It compared the cost for two nights for two people with B&B accommodation, direct flights or Eurostar, two evening meals with wine, coffee, festive drinks and snacks at the Christmas Market.
The total for Riga was £496.64, making it the cheapest out of the 13 European cities surveyed.
Runner-up Zagreb had a total cost of £522.65, while Lille is best value in Western Europe, thanks to a 17% year-on-year price fall with a two night break total of £575.38.
