A THERAPIST has been named FHT Sports Therapist of the Year.
Rebecca Ayres received her award at the Federation of Holistic Therapists’ conference in London.
Rebecca set up her own clinic in Leicester, Reactiv8 Therapy, where she treated professional athletes including triathletes, cyclists and footballers.
In recent years, Rebecca has focused her work on helping individuals suffering with long-term pain.
Today, she said her therapy work is now more focused on helping clients who are experiencing pain or discomfort as a result of scar tissue.
Rebecca said: ‘It is an overwhelming honour to receive the 2019 FHT Sports Therapist of the Year award, as well as being a finalist in the Complementary Therapist of the Year category.
“To be recognised for my holistic approach to chronic pain and scar rehabilitation is a privilege.”
Christopher Byrne, president of FHT, said: “These awards recognise individuals who are excelling in therapy practice and education.”
