TO mark six months into its £168 million transformation, the owners of Fosse Park have released computergenerated footage of how the completed development will look.

It brings to life the Fosse Park West extension and Food Central developments at the shopping park, which attract more than 11 million shoppers each year.

Fosse Park West is being built on the site formerly occupied by Everards Brewery, which was demolished last year.

The expansion will see 13 shops built on the 12.5-acre site including TK Maxx and Clarks, as well as a flagship Next.

Food Central is set to feature up to 13 food units and four shops, including Nando’s, Greggs, KFC and EE.

Adrian Young, Fosse Park manager, said: “Now that we are six months into construction, we wanted to take this opportunity to really showcase our exciting plans for Fosse Park.

“We created the CGI footage to offer our shoppers the chance to really see and experience for themselves the impressive vision we have.

“The past three decades have seen us thrive and grow, evolving along with our visitors’ needs to ensure we remain one of the most successful retail hubs in the area.

“Now, with the current investment we have made, the park will be transformed into an even more inspiring and vibrant shopping and dining destination that will further bolster our position at the heart of Leicestershire.”

Alongside the development, work has been going on to improve the car parks, which has now been completed.

The frontages at a number of retailers, including Carphone Warehouse and Clarks, are being refreshed. The work is due to finish this month.

A second phase of refurbishment is due to start in the new year.

The Fosse Park West extension and Food Central developments are both due to open in late 2020.
