Woman’s body found in home but her death ‘not suspicious’

POLICE officers were called to the Northfields area of the city yesterday morning after a report of a woman’s body being found at a house in Martival.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “Police received a call at 10.46am today (Wednesday) following a report of a body of a woman being found at a property in Martival, Leicester. The call was made by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

“Officers attended the scene. The death of the woman, who is in her 30s, is not being treated as suspicious.”

A file is being prepared for the Coroner for Leicester and South Leicestershire.
