Interesting, enjoyable day had WOW factor

AS my partner and I are retired we sometimes attend the library for a morning session of the reading group.

We enjoy meeting like-minded people and listening to others’ opinions.

After a delightful lunch, we also attended what is known as WOW, Welcome On Wednesday.

This is usually a one-and-a-halfhour talk (a small admin charge is added) which covers various topics.

The latest talk was all about Brunel and his bridges, railways and his other achievements in life, which we found interesting and informative.

Later, after a short walk to the bus stop, we used our precious bus passes to arrive home after a satisfying day out.
