Celebration of not for profit organisations

-

THE LeicestershireLive Business Awards always looks to give back to the community in any way it can.

And, as well as acknowledging a whole host of local businesses across 15 different categories, one special award recognises a company who give something back.

The ‘Not for Profit Organisation Award’ will be presented to a business who have made a big difference in the local community. Not-forprofit and charitable organisations play a crucial role in the region and judges will be looking for a business who has maintained financial performance while still benefiting local communities.

Each category has its own sponsor who are responsible for deciding on the three shortlisted finalists and eventual award winner.

Throwing their weight behind this category is dependable insurance brokers BHIB. A Leicester based business themselves this is the third year the firm has supported these awards.

Understanding just how important it is to support the local community, their Partnerships Director Ajay Mistry explained what motivated them to reaffirm their commitment to the awards.

“We believe it is important to recognise the incredible contributions that not-for-profit organisations make, which is also why we have partnered with Voluntary Action Leicestershire to support charities of all sizes in our community,” he said.

“We also work closely with the charity, voluntary and local council sector and are proud to be able to recognise the amazing work that not for profit and charitable organisations do through sponsoring this award. As well as supporting our clients with insurance and risk management, we are constantly looking at ways to meet our CSR agenda and give back to the community.”

Further demonstrating their ongoing commitment to charity work Ajay explained an exciting new charity venture BHIB are embarking on this year.

“This year, we will be launching our new sub-brand, BHIB Charities Insurance, which will allow us to focus on developing an affordable insurance package specifically for the charity and voluntary group sector,” he said.

“Charities of all sizes will be able to buy insurance via our new online platform, with the option to still call one of our friendly team, speak to them over the phone or arrange someone to come out and visit your office. Our dedicated team can offer support throughout the application process, including help with submission writing and evidence gathering.”
