Bend the rules to help the elderly

-

HERE in the borough of Oadby and Wigston, residents I have spoken to are finding Leicester City Council’s rules for access to rubbish tips difficult to comply with.

Having to register online to get an appointment is not always possible. Many elderly people do not have access to a computer, especially as libraries are closed.

When they phone the switchboard, they are told the rules state “online only”.

They need to bend the rules, otherwise we will get more fly-tipping.

Or maybe Oadby and Wigston Borough Council should just open its tip? No more dithering.
