Dance school boss is leader of the year

A DANCE school prin­ci­pal has been named Leader of the Year in a na­tional awards scheme.

Adele Clarke, who runs AMC School of Dance in Quorn, Lough­bor­ough and Rothley was recog­nised at the awards run by Club Hub, a web­site which pro­vides links to ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren.

Adele was short­listed from a to­tal of 1,019 ap­pli­ca­tions from 388 chil­dren’s ac­tiv­ity busi­nesses from across the UK.

She said: “I was elated to be nom­i­nated, let alone make the fi­nals – and to win, well I was shocked but so happy.

“I’m very lucky to be sur­rounded by an amaz­ing team, my fan­tas­tic pupils and their fam­i­lies, that all make AMC the won­der­ful com­mu­nity it is.

“It’s been par­tic­u­larly spe­cial to be recog­nised dur­ing a time that has re­quired me and the team to re­ally push our­selves to think of new and cre­ative ways of op­er­at­ing.”

AMC School of Dance is of­fer­ing a range of on­line classes and events for tod­dlers, chil­dren and adults.
