Passengers unhurt as bus crashes into railings
PASSENGERS escaped unhurt after a bus ploughed into railings.
A First Leicester single-decker bus was involved in the crash, at the junction of Uppingham Road and Coleman Road, in Humberstone, at about 1.50pm yesterday.
The vehicle was damaged but police said no one on the bus was hurt.
There were traffic delays on Uppingham Road as a result.
A resident said yesterday afternoon: “I walked round the corner and saw this bus embedded in the railings on the corner of the Uppingham Road. It doesn’t like anyone is hurt, but the bus is a right mess.
“It looks like it is all tangled up in the railings. The traffic is getting past, but it is causing big delays.”
