Police bid to trace good Samaritan

POLICE are hoping to trace a good Samaritan who came to the assistance of a teenager who was mugged.

The man stopped his car when he witnessed the crime taking place in a city street. The 18-year-old victim was attacked and pinned up against a wall in

Melbourne Street in Highfields, pictured right, when his wallet was stolen.

Police are now trying to find the man who intervened in the incident.

A spokesman said: “Did you stop your car while driving along Melbourne Road to help the victim of a robbery last

month? We are looking for the man who helped an 18-year-old victim at 7pm on Thursday, May 28 after he was pinned to a wall and had his wallet stolen.”

Anyone who knows who he is should call police on 101, quoting incident number 20*271720.
