Former MP joins board of company

FORMER Education Secretary Baroness (Nicky) Morgan of Cotes has joined the board of The Careers and Enterprise Company.

Christine Hodgson, chairman of the company said: “Nicky has demonstrated a relentless focus on supporting the best outcomes for young people.

“She also offers significant private sector experience which will be invaluable to our mission to create closer connections between education and business.

Baroness Morgan said: “I announced the establishment of the company during my time as Secretary of State for Education.

“The company has brought together a powerful partnership of schools, colleges, employers and representative bodies – connecting young people with the world of work.

“Today we face a new challenge. The company’s proximity to educators and employers mean it is uniquely positioned to provide the vital support young people will need.”
