Pret to close stores

PRET a Manger has announced plans to close 30 stores after sales plummeted at the high street sandwich chain.

The closures are part of a major restructuring plan which has put around 1,000 workers at risk of redundancy.

Pret said it has decided to close some stores permanently after recent sales dived by 74% compared with the same period last year.
