Girl, 8, dies in shooting

AN eight-year-old girl has been shot dead after at least two people opened fire on a car close to the scene of recent protests in Atlanta, Georgia.

Police identified the girl as Secoriea Turner, and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms called for justice during an emotional news conference with the girl’s grief-stricken mother.
