LEADING recycling and resource management company Enva is sponsoring the Community Action Award at the LeicestershireLive Heroes Awards – and it is time to make your nominations.

The LeicestershireLive Heroes Awards celebrate and mark the work of amazing people who make the city a better place to live, work and visit.

Entrants include remarkable people, the likes of volunteers, friendly neighbours, day workers and others who have been integral to our wellbeing in everyday life.

This year the award ceremony is being held virtually, staying in line with government guidelines and helping keep the people of Leicestershire safe amid the coronavirus crisis.

One of the most distinguished award categories of the event is Community Action, which will be sponsored by Enva again this year.

Paul Clements, commercial director at Enva, said it is is especially proud to support this year’s awards for the second year, due to the inspiring acts of so many people in the community.

He said: “Supporting the Community Action award provides Enva with a great opportunity to recognise the groups and individuals who have worked so tirelessly to improve the lives of others.

“The decision to sponsor LeicestershireLive Heroes for a further year was made easy after we witnessed all the selfless acts of bravery and determination which have changed so many people’s lives for the better.

“As one of the region’s leading recycling and resource management companies, Enva has always been committed to playing an active part in the communities in which we operate.”

“We also see first-hand the positive impact made by people tackling issues such as clearing up public spaces.

“We would like to thank everyone who has worked to make a difference in their community and look forward to hearing more of their amazing stories.”

Nominations for the LeicestershireLive Heroes Awards will close on Wednesday, July 22.

After that, three finalists will be shortlisted within each category by a judging panel.

The winners will then be announced at the awards, which take place online on Tuesday, September 8.
