GP surgery broken into
THIEVES broke into a doctors’ surgery in the middle of the day and stole medical equipment.
Raiders struck at the Barlestone Surgery on Friday, causing damage to the building as they forced their way in.
The surgery in Westfields is closed to the general public but open for people picking up medicines from the dispensary.
The company that runs the Ibstock and Barlestone surgeries said: “We have received information that on Saturday somebody was seen acting suspiciously around the back of the surgery.
“We are saddened this has happened and would like to remind people that anyone stealing from our surgery is stealing from the NHS.
“Replacing stolen items and repairing damage takes money away from patient care. It is beyond us how anybody can do this to an NHS building with no thought for the patients who rely on us.
“If you know anything about this please report it to the police to help them with their inquiries.”
