Two join pharmaceuticals company board
A PHARMACEUTICALS business has brought in two new board members as part of its growth plans.
Morningside Pharmaceuticals, in Loughborough, has taken on Cliff Fung as its chief financial officer and promoted Monica Huang into the role of chief operating officer.
Both report directly to chief executive Dr Nik Kotecha.
The business manufactures and supplies generic medicines, with two deliveries every day to the NHS, hospitals and pharmacies in the UK.
It exports to more than 100 countries and is now one of the UK’s leading suppliers of a range of medicines to international aid organisations, charities and non-governmental organisations.
Its growth strategy includes launching new medicines from its own research and development pipeline, registering more products in international markets and further growing its market share and ranges in the UK.
Dr Kotecha said: “I am very pleased to welcome Cliff and Monica on to the board of directors.
“We are beginning an exciting new chapter at Morningside, where the skills, experience and expertise of both will be critical to delivering our ambitious future plans.”
Cliff joins Morningside from multinational Aesica Pharmaceuticals.
Monica, pictured, said: “I was very fortunate to start my career with Morningside and to be part of its journey, as the company has grown into one of the Midlands’ leading pharmaceuticals businesses.”
