Give your views on council’s Covid help

- Harborough.gov.uk/covidresponse

RESIDENTS and businesses in a district are being asked about their experiences of support from the council during the national coronavirus lockdown.

In March 2020, the government closed schools, shops, businesses and other venues and asked the public to stay at home as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, with certain restrictions starting to ease for some from June.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to respond to a Harborough District Council survey, including answering questions about the Harborough District Community Hub, which provided practical assistance to vulnerable residents, what they felt about the business support available, and what their main concerns are about returning to the district’s town centres.

The survey, which is completed anonymously, will provide information to help the council improve its understanding of how people have been accessing information and services during this time, and what they think of the council’s response to the crisis.

This will help inform a review of how council services can improve future communication with residents and businesses, and continue to provide effective support across the whole of the Harborough district.

Councillor Phil King, leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We want to continue to be able to help residents stay safe and have peace of mind, that if they need to access support or information as the pandemic continues, it will be readily available. This survey will help the council fine-tune support services and communication accordingly.”

The council adapts communication for residents who require alternative formats. If you would like to complete the survey via telephone, please arrange an appointment with the Council customer services team by telephoning 01858 828282 or by text to 07860 041 908.

Hard copies of the survey are also available in Broughton Astley, Lutterworth and Market Harborough libraries. Please book an appointment before you visit Market Harborough library on 0116 305 3627.

The survey can be found online and will run until Wednesday, October 28.
