STATEMENT BY VICTIM’S SON

-

SANJAY Jentilal said: “Wherever I go, I miss my dad, and feel sad because he’s no longer with me.”

He said he had had to borrow money to pay for his dad’s funeral and is unable to send money home to his mother in India, who is unwell.

He plans to return to India to marry and look after his mother.

Sanjay said: “I was friends with Yashant before this. My dad would still be here if Yashant hadn’t pushed him.

“He told me he was just going to talk to my dad. If I’d thought he was going to do that (fatally push Mr Deugi), I wouldn’t have taken him there. I miss my dad and remember him every day.

“I must have courage to stay strong to assist my mum and sister. He was trying to assist a friend.”
