A BAR has temporarily closed due to a member of staff testing positive for coronavirus.

The Bottle Garden, in St Martin’s Square, Leicester, said: “Unfortunately, we have had a key team member test positive for coronavirus while isolating after a trip to London this week.

“They have not been at the venue since developing symptoms, but we are taking full precautions and closing for the welfare of our wonderful staff and customers to deep clean and refresh.

“We will be contacting any bookings within the near future to inform of cancellations. For this we can only apologise for the inconvenience.

“Please continue to support our amazing industry of independents in Leicester while we rest, and we’ll see you on the other side.”

The Bottle Garden was opened in 2017 by the Suffolk family, who own Outerspace and Utopia, in Francis Street, Stoneygate, and at Wistow.
