Banging the drum for good photgraphy
OVER the past couple of weeks, the Mercury has featured some of the images from the Leicester Forest Photographic Society’s exhibition, which this year is being held online due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Today, we take a look at the work of Jim Monk.
The LED Drummers were photographed at the Light Up Leicester festival in March, just before the country went into lockdown.
Jim said: “In order to capture the drama, the image was taken kneeling down, while the drummers were moving slowly forwards.
“My main focus is on travel and landscape photography, both in the UK and abroad.
“I also enjoy attending a wide variety of events and festivals, and always have my camera with me ready to capture the action.
