Help this decent man get his message across

MY heart goes out to Declan Spencer after his letter appeared in Monday’s Mercury (“Time is so precious for those most at risk”, Mailbox, October 19).

He has gone through so much in his very short life so far.

He is not asking for help, he doesn’t ask for someone to raise money for him for whatever.

All he wants is people to obey the Covid-19 rules so it gives people a better chance to stay virus-free, especially the vulnerable and the elderly.

Could I suggest you put this letter on the front page of your paper and also on your website for all the busy people who don’t have the time or patience to scour the pages.

Please help this decent young man to get his message across – it is not too much to ask in these very trying times. Best of luck Declan.
