Click and collect is trialled
ALDI has launched its click-andcollect services in Leicestershire for the first time.
The supermarket chain is trialling click and collect in a number of select stores and has now extended the service to its Ashby branch.
The extension will bring the total number of locations trialling the new service to nine after it began in parts of Staffordshire and the East Midlands last month.
Customers will now be able to order groceries online then collect them, in pre-booked one-hour collection slots, from the supermarket’s store in Dents Road.
Customers will be able to park up in dedicated click-and-collect points in the store car park and have their shopping brought to their vehicle by Aldi staff contact-free.
Giles Hurley, chief executive officer, Aldi UK and Ireland, said: “Extending this trial is about providing thousands more of our existing customers with another convenient way to shop with us.”
