Bike rider injured in collision
A MOTORCYCLIST was hospitalised after being involved in a collision.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to a collision on the A46 at the junction with the A6, at Wanlip, at 1.14pm on Thursday.
“The collision involved a car and a motorcycle.
The rider was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, with injuries that are not believed to be serious.
“The car was recovered under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act for being uninsured and having no road tax.
“The road was reopened at 3pm.” No arrests were reported to have been made.
