A look at difficulties we are all facing now

-

HOW difficult is life now, especially for older folk who find themselves facing problems never before encountered?

It is very rare to find yourself told where you can go and not go, what you must wear – a mask, and which people you are actually allowed to meet. Such intrusions into your life!

It is not all the virus itself – bad enough though this is for many people. How many people are now more dependent on just one person rather than the several they are used to? How can you possibly get used to the number of times you wash your hands every day, or indeed have to cover your face with a mask?

How much harder is transport from one place to another and that’s if you are allowed to travel?

People therefore become even more isolated and face illnesses, not directly the virus, but things that have arisen in the world as a result of it.

You will have been affected financially in some way I’m sure, too. Shopping will have changed, indeed you may be relying on deliveries.

Until recently we have been without the facilities of toilets at the places we may have visited.

There has been some slight improvement in some places but even today we are hearing other areas are having more troubles again.

We are all, after several months, suffering from television alterations and tedious repetition.

The frustration is real in being unable to watch live sport or visit your favourite theatres.

A lot of people have extra leisure time – some can handle it, but many find time very stressful.

Make no mistake, someone near you will need cheering up.
