A COLLEGE will be hosting a unique online broadcast to commemorate Remembrance Day this year.

The broadcast on Facebook and YouTube on Wednesday, November 11 from 10.45am to 11.02am will feature contributions from staff and students across Leicester College, in dedication to all of those who fought and lost their lives in the First World War.

The virtual event will feature poetry readings, stories, prayers and personal accounts to commemorate the occasion, as well as the opportunity for students, or families of students, to contribute their own words to be broadcast during the event.

People can join the college in paying its respects through the Leicester College Facebook page.

College principal Verity Hancock said: “While 2020 has produced unforeseen changes, we are, as ever, committed to paying our respects to those of all faiths and none in honour of Remembrance Day. We look forward to providing an online platform that will enable people to make dedications on this important day.”
