We will face difficult test, says Arteta

-

LEICESTER City have “dramatically changed” under Brendan Rodgers and their chameleon-like approach to games poses a challenge to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, writes Jordan Blackwell.

Fresh from Europa League wins, City and the Gunners meet at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night hoping they can follow up their European successes with a Premier League victory.

City had started the season with three straight successes, showing different styles of play to beat West Brom, Burnley and Manchester City, and Arteta admits that provides a test for him in how to get the better of Rodgers’ side.

“Well, they’re a really difficult team,” said the Spaniard.

“I think Brendan and his team have done a great job. They dramatically changed the philosophy and the way of playing since they arrived and I think they had an incredible season last season.

“This season, ups and downs, like almost every team in the Premier League and some incredible results, like when they played against (Manchester) City.

“They can adapt and play different ways and sometimes they are really dominant, sometimes they can defend with a low block but overall they’re a really, really good team.”

It will be the clubs’ third encounter behind closed doors, with City ending a run of 12 straight away league defeats to the Gunners when they played out a 1-1 draw in July, before Arsenal won a battle of second-string sides in the Carabao Cup last month.
