A day to remember

THE fifth of November was truly a day to remember for three people in the city who all netted £1,000 on the Postcode Lottery.

The neighbours in Westbourne Street, in Belgrave, netted the windfall when LE4 5HN was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery for Thursday.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales in the competition goes directly to charities and players.

The People’s Postcode Lottery has raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

A spokesman said: “This draw was promoted on behalf of WWF-UK (World Wildlife Fund), which helps to build a future in which people and nature thrive.”
