COMMUNITY groups are being invited to apply for a share of £40,000 from a company fund.

Aggregate Industries’ Bardon Hill Community Fund supports projects such as community centres, voluntary groups, charities and any other community-centric initiatives that improve lives.

Kirsten Hannaford-Hill, estates surveyor at Aggregate Industries, said: “Whether it’s supporting vulnerable groups during the pandemic, or enhancing biodiversity, we’d love to hear from you.”

Previous beneficiaries have included Broom Leys Allotment Society, which received £5,500 in funding to promote healthy eating and enhance biodiversity and the environment.

North West Leicestershire District Council benefited from £9,800 for a picnic and willow play area at Forest Adventures and the fund donated £13,800 to Bardon Sports Club to help improve its disabled access.
