-

FOUR people have been cleared of involvement in Britain’s biggest ever domestic burglary plot, which targeted the homes of celebrities including the family of former Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, pictured.

The quartet were found not guilty of taking part in raids, which netted £26 million of property.

Other victims included Frank Lampard and Christine Lampard and socialite Tamara Ecclestone.

Escort Maria Mester, 48, her bartender son Emil Bogdan Savastru, 30, former sports teacher Sorin Marcovici, 53, and hotel concierge Alexandru Stan, 49, were all found not guilty of being members of the “supporting cast” during the break-ins.

Isleworth Crown Court had heard the three West London homes were all burgled within a two-week period.

On December 10, 2019, thieves targeted a home belonging to Khun Vichai, getting away with more than £1 million in goods and cash.

It was said burglars ransacked the home of the late Foxes chairman, who was killed in 2018 in a helicopter crash.

Millions of pounds of jewellery and cash were taken from Ms Ecclestone’s Kensington home.

The defendants were accused by prosecutors of providing help at various times to the actual burglars.

All four were unanimously cleared of all charges, except for Savastru, who was convicted of one count of attempting to conceal criminal property.

The four alleged burglars cannot be named for legal reasons.
