Hazardous waste in fly-tip
HAZARDOUS waste has been dumped beside a main road.
The large fly-tip in Kirkby Road, Barwell, included a sizeable amount of building waste and asbestos.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said the incident is thought to have taken place at about 5pm on January 14.
A spokesman said: “We would suspect this has been fly-tipped by a tradesperson who has probably completed work for someone possibly local to this area. Do you recognise any of the items?
“There is a headboard which looks like it is unique?
“Have you had a floor laid with tiles purchased from Wickes – Olympia Light Grey Stone?
“If you can help us trace the culprit please get in touch.”
Council officers said they were considering installing CCTV at the layby as the area is a hotspot for fly-tipping.
