Care home hands out goody bags

-

STAFF from a care home have shown their appreciation to key workers by giving out goody bags.

Mountview, in Rothley, asked staff and residents to nominate pandemic heroes.

Bags were filled with treats such as cookies, cake, pick and mix and other confectionery along with a thank you letter.

They were handed out to people in the emergency services, GP practices, chemists and pharmacies, funeral homes and also to postal workers, refuse collectors, hospice workers and primary school teachers.

The team also took two luxury chocolate hampers to the NHS to thank the doctors and nurses.

Resident Liz Banks said: “I think it is brilliant the Mountview team has been able to support other key workers around Rothley.

General manager Selina Leone said: “During my deliveries I met some truly inspirational people who have really kept the community going over the course of the pandemic.”
