New line in escape rooms to raise cash
AN events business has launched an online escape room to try to make up some of the revenue lost during the lockdown.
Prior to the pandemic, Eventurous, an events and team-building company in Sheepy Magna, was providing services ranging from conferences to event production, family fun days to gala dinners.
Since last year it has been building up its virtual offering, including online game shows and culinary sessions to “engage and refresh weary employees” missing the social construct of the office.
Now it has expanded its portfolio with an escape room team-building activity.
Developed in-house, Ransom allows remote teams to work together to solve puzzles and defeat the sinister Chaos Group.
Eventurous sales director Kieron Bowen said it differed from most other virtual escape rooms because it comes with real-time assistance from a live events team and an immersive, story-led experience that tests communication and puzzlesolving skills and introduces lots of suspicious characters.
Mr Bowen said: “A highly organised and well-equipped criminal organisation known as Chaos Group have threatened to release their newly developed poison.
“It’s up to you to track down and stop them before time runs out. Your predecessor’s investigation became compromised and it’s now your responsibility to finish what they started,” he said.
“We’ve seen a huge demand for virtual escape rooms over the pandemic.
“They provide a captivating experience that’s not only fun but also helps to develop important skills and improve workplace communication.”
