Appeal to help women in Kenya

A HOMELESSNESS charity has helped launch an appeal to help disadvantaged women in Kenya.

The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, in Leicester, is working with the Good Grace Foundation.

They are requesting donations of sanitary pads that will be shipped to Kenya to support young women in education.

The foundation is working in Taita-Taveta county where many young women experience period poverty.

Many girls and young women who struggle are missing out on education as a result.

Donations of sanitary products can be made at The Bridge Homeless to Hope, in Melton Street, Leicester or people can donate funds online.

The Leicester-based not-forprofit Good Grace Foundation organisation provides support for the development of a range of local, national and international projects supporting education, housing, work and rehabilitation through sustainable land projects.
