Easter opportunities for families to get outdoors
THE Easter holiday has begun and the weather is set fair.
And although many attractions still have to remain closed, there are plenty of places families can visit, a number of which are offering outdoor Easter activities.
Belvoir Castle: Easter activities to April 11
Outdoor trails, solve nursery rhyme puzzles, meet the bouncy Easter bunny and make the most of Easterthemed
family photo opportunities. A child’s admission ticket (£10) includes an Easter gift box with worksheet activities and a chocolate egg.
Adult tickets are £8 each.
Bawdon Lodge Farm, Nanpantan: Easter egg hunt to April 11
Open 9am to 4pm and no booking is required.
The cost is £4 per child, which includes details for the hunt, plus colouring competition, treats and activities to do at home. There is no charge for adults.
Market Harborough: Harbs Collective Easter trail, to April 10
An Easter trail created by the Harbs Collective of independent shops to download and complete.
There are 27 bunnies hiding in the town, along with some Easter shapes.

Rockingham Castle: Children’s Easter hunt April 4 and 5
Each egg has a letter which makes up an Easter word. After completing your booklet children can claim a chocolate prize.
Tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children aged four to 15 and £2 for children aged up to three.
Barnsdale Gardens, Exton: Easter hunt April 2 to 5
Collect all the clues and each child will receive a chocolate treat. Usual garden admission costs apply (adult £11, child £7, family of two adults and up to three children £33).
Whatton House, Loughborough: Easter trail hunt April 2 to 18
An Easter trail hunt is running at Whatton House from 10am until 5pm daily.
The cost is £5 per person for garden entry and trail (under 18 months free).
