ANEMONELLA THALICTROI­DES ‘SHOAF’S DOUBLE PINK’

It’s so beautiful to watch the woodland floor start to wake up and observe the spring flowers emerging.

This week I spotted the wood anemone A. nemerosa creating a pool of white flowers beneath the trees.

But if you’d like something a little more fancy for your spring garden, let me introduce you to the gorgeous Anemonella, which is the rue anemone, a north American native.

Its leaves resemble a thalictrum, and unlike the wood anemone, it has clusters of flowers.
