100 jobs available at utility firm

GAS and electricity supply company E.ON is recruiting for 100 roles.

The utility firm is working with Leicestershire county and Leicester city councils as part of a Green Homes Grant scheme.

The roles created will range from administration positions to more technical jobs such as electrical installers.

As part of the government’s grant scheme, E.ON is providing low-carbon heating to eligible households free of charge.

Michael Lewis, chief executive of E.ON UK, said: “By working with local authority partners, we are delivering investment in energy efficiency, driving the creation of jobs, creating better homes and reducing energy bills along the way.

“Not only is the scheme good for helping the UK to meet its net zero climate change targets, it is also one of the most effective ways to kickstart the economy.”
