Pounding the streets for pounds
STAFF from an education technology company have been raising money to help primary schools.
A team from Kinteract, in Melton, took part in a sponsored walk, collectively hiking more than 250 miles.
Each of the nine participating team members walked solo within their respective counties.
Nicole Eley, customer success manager, said: “We are delighted with the amount raised and have exceeded our initial target of £1000.
“Over the next few weeks, we will be consulting with schools to establish which equipment is needed to help educate the children and facilitate the learning process.
“This will include everything from books and stationery to tablets and laptops.
“When the government gives the green light, we plan to continue our fundraising efforts by hosting bake sales and arranging another team walk.”
