SIX homes in three roads in a village were targeted by burglars who entered through sheds, garages and outbuildings.

The intruders escaped with two bikes, a laptop computer and three mobile phones during the raids in Anstey.

Three burglaries and one attempted burglary took place between 1am and 4am on Tuesday, in Cropston Road.

There were also attempted burglaries at homes in Fairhaven Road and Pollards Road.

Detective Constable Jim Chaplin said: “We believe a small group of young men are responsible for these burglaries and we are carrying out investigations to try to identify them.

“We would like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area who may have captured a group of men.

”We also urge everyone to keep their property secure and take precautions such as installing motion-activated lighting.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
