Road will shut for four days

A VILLAGE road is to be shut for four days to allow work on underground cables to take place.

Leicestershire County Council has agreed to a temporary traffic regulation order for Burrough End in Great Dalby, near Melton, in late May.

The council highways department said: “The purpose of the order is to allow Western Power Distribution to carry out a new service installation.

“The order will incorporate a temporary road closure.

“The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of four days commencing on May 25.”

Further details and confirmation of the closure will be announced about two weeks before the work is due to start.
