After 70 years’ loyalty, this was the final straw
COULD any reader to Mailbox recommend an alternative to British Gas to me?
At 92 years old, and having been with them for over 70 years I give up.
I pay £35 a month for a service once a year and breakdown cover. I was due an engineer for a service to the boiler, but at 7.30pm they called to say that it would now be May 26 and the same happened last year.
The woman said they would come out in an emergency, and said that’s why I’m paying £35 - but no service. I have made an official complaint to the company, but am not holding my breath.
