Proceeds from sales go to help families

-

CUSTOMERS at Central England Co-op stores are being invited to help struggling families.

until April 11, the company will donate 5 per cent from the sale of any item in its Irresistible range to FareShare Midlands.

People can also donate food items for the Spring Food Bank Appeal.

These will be collected and used to create food parcels to provide at least three days’ worth of meals for those in need.

Hannah Gallimore, Central England Co-op corporate responsibility manager, said: “our long-standing relationship with FareShare has had a life-changing impact for people in the years we have been working together and as the demand for support continues to grow, we are proud to stand with it to help those in need.

“Having access to food should be a simple thing but, as these figures reveal, it is becoming increasingly difficult for so many.

“We know our kind-hearted customers will be more than willing to support by picking up products from our fantastic Irresistible range in their shop.”
